At the foundation of my classroom management philosophy is forming great relationships with each student. I believe a solid relationship that is established by developing trust and mutual respect is vital to an efficient classroom. Additionally, I think it is imperative to establish procedures that the students are allowed to have a voice in. This establishes responsibility and a universal understanding of what is expected of each person in the classroom. I invite you to read the document below, as I delve deeper into these ideas and establish some core procedures I plan to implement into my classroom.

Identifying Learning Preferences
In the document below, I identified two sources that evaluates students' learning preferences and the importance of knowing my students' learning preferences. I believe knowing how students learn best is beneficial for the educator as well as the student. This allows the educator to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse classroom and helps the students identify strategies to help them learn and study. I invite you to view the document below and read how useful this information can be for an educator and a student.

Reading Strategies for the Mathematics Classroom
Teaching students how to read effectively is a vital skill for them to become successful students and professionals outside the classroom. Thus, this skill should not be ignored in a math classroom. I invite you to view the documents below which illustrate how I will obtain a positive reading environment in my classroom, a document containing ten books I will have in my classroom library, as well as, a presentation that contains many of the reading strategies I plan to incorporate into my classroom.
